Fidelity Exec Moves To AMP Capital To Lead The Asia ex-Japan Team

AMP Capital, the Australian fund management firm, has appointed a new managing director for Asia ex-Japan.

Kerry Ching takes the lead role as the company seeks to build its presence in the region. Ching started at AMP's Hong Kong office in 2 August, where she will focus on managing key client relationships alongside institutional sales and business development functions.

Ching previously worked as country head for Hong Kong as Fidelity Investment Management. She has also worked at UBS Global Asset Management as managing director for Asia ex-Japan and as chief executive in Hong Kong for Invesco.

In her new role, she reports directly to Anthony Fasso, director of international business.

AMP Capital has around A$125 billion ($131 billion) in real estate, infrastructure, fixed income, equities, multi-manager and multi-asset portfolios. Its Asian business accounts for around A$8.5 billion of this total.
